The BC hotel industry started recovering from the COVID pandemic in the summer as travellers were finally able to enjoy some freedom and get moving around the province. Although the provincial occupancy still looks poor for 2021, areas like Vancouver Island and the Interior boasted high occupancies throughout the summer and early fall.
